GORGIE Energy Drinks: Good Energy Never Looked So Lovely

There is energy—and then there is GORGIE energy.

Bright cans. Sparkling fruit flavors. Green tea caffeine. Beauty- and wellness-minded ingredients. And a drinking experience that feels surprisingly far removed from the syrupy sweetness of the traditional energy-drink aisle.

GORGIE belongs to a newer generation of functional beverages: drinks designed to deliver energy while fitting more naturally into a modern wellness routine. Its classic sparkling energy drinks combine 150 mg of caffeine sourced from green tea, and good for you ingredients like L-theanine, biotin and B vitamins with zero grams of sugar and only 5 calories per 12-ounce can.

At Lux Lovely, that immediately caught our attention.

Because whether you are heading into an early workout, moving through a packed workday, getting ready for a night out or simply trying to make it through the afternoon slump, sometimes you want a little extra energy.

A Different Kind of Energy Drink

GORGIE may come dressed in playful colors, but underneath the packaging is a surprisingly thoughtful formula.

The brand's classic sparkling lineup includes 150 mg of green-tea-derived caffeine, L-theanine, biotin, vitamins B3, B6 and B12, ginger root extract and zero grams of sugar. Depending on the flavor, the ingredient list also includes natural fruit flavors, plant-based colors and Reb M steviol glycosides for sweetness.

GORGIE also describes its core line as low-calorie, vegan, non-GMO and gluten-free.

But an ingredient list only tells half the story.

So, what exactly is happening inside that very pretty can?

    Inside a GORGIE Can

150 MG Green Tea Caffeine: The Energy

Let's begin with the ingredient you are most likely opening an energy drink for in the first place. Caffeine.

Caffeine increases alertness by blocking adenosine receptors in the brain. Adenosine is one of the chemical signals involved in increasing feelings of sleepiness as the day progresses. Temporarily reducing its effect is part of what creates caffeine's familiar wake-up feeling. Each classic GORGIE sparkling energy drink contains 150 mg of caffeine sourced from green tea.

L-Theanine: A More Interesting Caffeine Pairing

    Then GORGIE adds L-theanine.

L-theanine is an amino acid naturally found in tea, and its relationship with caffeine has attracted considerable research interest.

Studies have found that combining caffeine and L-theanine can improve certain measures of attention and cognitive performance, including performance on demanding attention tasks. Caffeine delivers the alertness, while L-theanine complements it with a more calm-and-focused effect. Together, the pairing has helped create the kind of energy many people describe as smoother and more focused than caffeine alone.

That makes L-theanine a much more meaningful addition than another buzzword on a beverage label.

It does not guarantee that caffeine will never make someone feel jittery—individual sensitivity to caffeine varies considerably—but it gives GORGIE's formula a more thoughtful approach.

Think of it as energy with a little more composure.

Biotin: Where Beauty Meets the Beverage

This may be the most Lux Lovely ingredient in the can.

Biotin, also known as vitamin B7, is an essential B vitamin involved in helping the body metabolize carbohydrates, fats and proteins.

And yes, there really is a connection between biotin and hair, skin and nails.

Biotin deficiency can cause problems including hair loss, skin rashes and brittle nails, which is one reason the nutrient became so strongly associated with beauty supplements.

Biotin is an essential nutrient and adequate biotin is important to maintaining healthy hair, skin and nails.

For an energy drink, we will happily take the beauty connection.

Vitamin B6: Helping Your Body Use Energy

B vitamins are often described as ingredients that “give you energy,” but that language oversimplifies what they actually do.

Vitamin B6 does not behave like caffeine. Instead, it works behind the scenes.

The body needs vitamin B6 for more than 100 enzyme reactions involved in metabolism, along with roles in immune function and other biological processes. In simple terms, B6 helps your body process and use nutrients from the foods you eat.

The caffeine is doing the immediate wake-me-up work. B6 is part of the metabolic machinery running underneath it.

Vitamin B12: Energy Support With an Important Difference

Vitamin B12 has also become practically synonymous with energy— it is essential for normal nerve function and healthy blood-cell production. When someone is deficient in vitamin B12, one possible consequence is megaloblastic anemia, which can cause significant fatigue and weakness.

That is where much of B12's energy reputation comes from.

So GORGIE's formula really has two different energy stories happening at once:

The green tea caffeine contributes directly to alertness, while B vitamins including B6 and B12 support normal physiological processes involved in metabolism and healthy body function to give you energy.

    And There Is B3, Too

Look closely at the ingredient panel and you will also find niacinamide, a form of vitamin B3, throughout much of the GORGIE line.

Like the other B vitamins, niacin participates in metabolic processes that help cells use nutrients.

It is another reason the formula is considerably more layered than simply caffeine + fruit flavor + bubbles.

    0G Sugar + 5 Calories

And then there is what GORGIE leaves out.

Its classic sparkling energy drinks contain zero grams of sugar and only 5 calories per can. The collection uses steviol glycosides, including Reb M, in place of sugar.

That absence of a heavy sugar base also changes the flavor experience.

These drinks generally do not have the thick, syrupy sweetness you may associate with conventional energy drinks.

Instead, many of them are lighter, drier and more botanical, with gentle carbonation and fruit flavors that sit somewhere between sparkling water, fruit refresher and tea.

And that brings us to the fun part.

What Does GORGIE Actually Taste Like?

This is one of the most important things to know about GORGIE before choosing a flavor:

Do not judge these drinks by the bright cans alone.

Many of them taste considerably more grown-up than their packaging suggests.

Independent tastings describe recurring characteristics across the collection: lighter carbonation, restrained sweetness, dry finishes and occasional floral, herbal or slightly bitter notes. Depending on the flavor, the experience can feel closer to sparkling tea, flavored seltzer or a botanical tonic than traditional energy soda.

Not every flavor literally contains tea, but tea drinkers may recognize something familiar in the overall style.

    The fruit is there.

It simply does not always arrive covered in sugar.

    Sparkling Peach Tea

    For the tea girl.

If there is one flavor that best explains the GORGIE experience, it may be Peach Tea.

It begins with peach that is fresh and lightly sweet rather than syrupy. Then the tea arrives—dry, smooth and layered.

Upon tasting we found notes reminiscent of green and black tea along with subtle floral characteristics, including orange blossom and bergamot.

GORGIE itself describes the flavor as sweet summer peach paired with the complexity of well-brewed tea and says it intentionally leans into the brand's green-tea roots.

The result is much closer to a sparkling iced tea than peach soda.

    Fresh.

    Softly fruity.

    A little floral.

    And just sophisticated enough.

Lux Lovely sip: Serve it very cold over ice with a fresh peach slice.

    Sparkling Mango Burst

Do not expect thick mango nectar or tropical candy.

Mango Burst takes a much quieter approach.

Upon tasting, the mango is mellow, dry and closer to flavored sparkling water than fruit juice, with softer tropical notes underneath and a slightly earthy, bitter finish.

There is fruit, but it is restrained.

There is sweetness, but it does not dominate.

The overall effect is breezy and tropical with enough dryness to prevent it from becoming heavy.

Think sparkling tropical refresher with a tea-adjacent finish, rather than mango soda.

Lux Lovely sip: The beach-day GORGIE.

    Sparkling Watermelon Splash

Watermelon Splash is one of the more playful flavors in the collection.

It opens with a sweeter, candy-inspired watermelon note followed by a little tartness. As the flavor develops, we found that it begins to resemble actual watermelon more closely, including a faint rind-like quality that helps cut the sweetness.

The carbonation remains light and clean rather than aggressively fizzy.

If Mango Burst is subtle tropical fruit, Watermelon Splash is GORGIE letting its hair down.

    A little candy.

    A little fruit.

Still lighter than a traditional sugary energy drink.

    Lux Lovely sip: Poolside.

    Sparkling Tropical Punch

This is nostalgia in a can.

GORGIE created Tropical Punch around the familiar childhood red-fruit-punch experience, reimagined as a zero-sugar energy drink with green tea caffeine.

The flavor moves through tropical fruit and berry notes rather than settling on one specific fruit. Tasting notes pick up possibilities including mango, papaya, guava and pineapple alongside that unmistakable nostalgic fruit-punch character.

It is sweeter and more playful than some of GORGIE's drier flavors.

If Peach Tea is the sophisticated one, Tropical Punch is the fun one.

    Sparkling Citrus Burst

Citrus Burst is crisp, dry and unmistakably citrus-forward.

The strongest note is lime, with lemon appearing more subtly behind it. There is minimal sweetness, a gentle tartness and a slight bitterness that gives the flavor more dimension.

The carbonation is also softer than conventional soda. The overall experience is much more closeer to lightly carbonated citrus seltzer than a bold energy drink.

If you do not love sweet drinks, this may be one of the best places to start.

Lux Lovely sip: Ice, lime wheel, good glass.

Suddenly the afternoon energy drink feels rather chic.

    Jordyn Jones' Cherry Lime

    Cherry comes first.

    Lime follows.

    And neither needs to scream.

We would describe Cherry Lime as mildly sweet with a clear cherry opening, followed by soft tartness and a faint lime-peel bitterness.

It does not drink like cherry syrup or cherry cola.

The lime keeps it bright and gives the finish a cleaner edge.

Lux Lovely sip: The getting-ready flavor. Pour it over ice with fresh lime while the playlist is on.

    Jaclyn Hill's Orange Twist

Orange Twist is one of the collection's more complex citrus flavors.

The profile begins with noticeable orange, then moves through mandarin, blood orange and lime zest, followed by subtle bitterness and even a faint ginger note. Hints of floral orange-blossom, mixed with citrus bubbles.

That is exactly the sort of complexity we did not expect from an energy drink.

It is brighter than Peach Tea.

    Sweeter than Citrus Burst.

And considerably more layered than orange soda.

There Is More Than One GORGIE Mood

And GORGIE has continued expanding well beyond those original sparkling flavors.

Its current energy-drink collection also includes releases such as Sparkling Pink Lemonade, Cranberry Party Pop, alongside its established Peach Tea, Mango Burst, Watermelon Splash, Tropical Punch, Citrus Burst, Cherry Lime and Orange Twist flavors.

And for something a little different, GORGIE has taken the same concept into portable Energy Drink Mix sticks, delivering the brand's familiar caffeine-and-benefits profile in a mix-with-water powder.

    So, Which GORGIE Are You?

If your usual drink is iced tea: Start with Peach Tea.

If you love tropical flavor but dislike syrupy drinks: Try Mango Burst.

If you want something playful: Watermelon Splash.

If nostalgia wins every time: Tropical Punch.

If you live for lime, sparkling water and crisp citrus: Citrus Burst.

If cherry is always your choice: Cherry Lime.

And if your drink order somehow always involves orange, citrus and a little something unexpected: Orange Twist.

The best part may be that GORGIE does not ask you to choose between a functional drink and something you genuinely enjoy sipping.

    It gives you both.

    When Do You Drink GORGIE?

There really is no single GORGIE moment.

Keep one chilled for the morning commute.

Reach for one before a busy afternoon.

Bring Mango Burst to the beach.

Pour Peach Tea over ice while answering emails.

Keep Citrus Burst waiting in the refrigerator for the 3 p.m. slump.

Bring a few different flavors to brunch or a girls' weekend and let everyone find her favorite.

    Our preference?

Very cold. A beautiful glass. Plenty of ice.

Maybe a slice of fresh fruit if you are feeling fancy. Because functional does not have to mean boring.

The Difference: A Grown Up Energy Drink

Lighter sweetness. Softer bubbles. Fruit up front. Dry, botanical and sometimes distinctly tea-like notes underneath.

Pair that flavor philosophy with L-theanine, biotin, B vitamins, zero grams of sugar and only 5 calories, and GORGIE begins to make considerably more sense.

Good energy. Gorgeous flavor. A little more lovely in every day.
