Japanese Sencha is a classic steamed green tea from the Shizuoka province of Japan, the style that fills everyday cups across Tokyo. Ours is fresh and spring grass with light notes of citrus and toasted bread, medium in body for a green, and forgiving enough to drink from morning to afternoon.
We buy it from the Kaburagi family in central Shizuoka and choose leaf from the middle of the season, which keeps it approachable in flavor and in price. Brew it with water off the boil, around 160 degrees, and it stays sweet and clean instead of turning bitter from too many catechins in your cup.
Our Decaf Ceylon, also known as Decaf Orange Pekoe, is a high-quality black tea with the caffeine removed, yet the depth of flavor remains intact. Customers tell us our Ceylon is the only decaf that tastes like "real tea."
Orange Pekoe is a classic, satisfying blend of strong Assam and smooth-liquor Ceylon. A traditional staple in many households, John Harney always drank this tea whenever he needed a mellow, comforting cup. This is made from small, broken (BOP) teas in the British tradition. Also known as Ceylon & India.
Earl Grey Supreme is a refined, full-leaf Earl Grey, a black tea blend finished with natural Oil of Bergamot from Calabria, Italy. Where a classic Earl Grey is all black tea and bergamot, the Supreme adds traditional oolong, white tea silver tips for a natural sweetness, over a base of Assam, Keemun, and Ceylon. The result is lighter, softer, and more aromatic, with more bergamot and a pleasant finish.
Bright with citrus, it is easy to drink plain or with a splash of milk. Most people who try the Supreme do not go back to an ordinary Earl Grey.

Korakundah has been seeing a lot of us Harneys. Alex has been there four times, and Mike twice. This Organic Korakundah FOP is nice and mellow—a good everyday tea. It is sourced from the highest area in the Nilgiri tea region in southern India.

Harney & Sons created RMS Titanic Blend as a tribute to the tragedy and heroism of A Night to Remember. P. H. Nargeolet, one of the divers with the French exploratory group at Woods Hole in Massachusetts when the Titanic was found, encouraged John Harney to create a commemorative tea to honor the 100th anniversary of those who perished when the Titanic sank. John created this special blend to reflect the quality of tea that was served on that voyage. It features Chinese Keemun, one of the last teas from China that the British still consumed in 1912. By then, they had mostly shifted to black teas from Assam, India, and Ceylon. The blend also includes Formosa Oolong, which was popularized in both the UK and the US by an enterprising Brit. This blend would have been recognizable to tea lovers of that era. A portion of the sales of our RMS Titanic Blend tea will go to The Ocean Conservancy, the dedicated organization committed to preserving our planet's oceans. We hope you will enjoy this tea and "remember."

Victorian London Fog is a full-bodied black tea scented with bergamot, sweet vanilla, and a touch of lavender. It takes its name from the Victorian custom of pouring steamed milk into Earl Grey, and we built the blend to live up to that cozy ritual.

About 30 years ago, friend and colleague Andrew Demmer decided to mix dried fruit and flavors together for his tea shops in Vienna, Austria. These blends were not from the tea plant, were caffeine-free, and were refreshingly delicious. Andrew decided to call them fruit teas. They have become popular in Middle Europe and now here in the States. Our selection of fruit tea blends brews up a wonderful red color and has vibrant flavors. Caffeine-free. Goji Berry was an original creation we made, which has quickly become one of customers most drinked fruit teas.
La Rochère has been making traditional French glassware since 1475. Now a classic, the Napoleon Bee mug is nicely weighted with a comfortable handle. It's made inside an open mold in two parts and pressed together when the glass is in molten form. This process creates the clearest and most durable type of glass, known for its characteristic seam.

Harney & Sons English Breakfast is a 100% Chinese Keemun black tea. A classic, full-bodied cup with an ancient pedigree. Researchers trace the blend to the black tea the English drank every morning in the early 1800s, before the fashion turned to brisker leaves from India, Ceylon, and Africa. Ours keeps to that original: short, charcoal-gray leaves that brew a deep brown liquor, mellow and straightforward, with quiet notes of toast and honey.
Medium-to-full in body, it's built to take milk and sugar. It's a simple, dependable way to start any day.
Chai is a spiced black tea, an Indian black base blended with cardamom, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and a touch of vanilla. It brews strong and warming, sweet spice up front and a body full enough to stand up to milk and sugar the way a good chai should.
We built it for the classic preparation, a splash of milk and a little sweetener, though it holds its own poured plain. Unlike many Indian chai recipes, we leave out the peppers, so the cardamom and cinnamon lead instead of the heat.
This is the cream of the crop. It is a ceremonial matcha reserved for special ceremonies. This tea is grown along the banks of the Uji River, where the soil is rich. The tea plants are deeply shaded. The leaves are hand-picked while still young. Since it's only harvested once a season, the tea plant has the rest of the year to build up and make the best matcha next season. This cycle creates maximum umami levels. The tea is air-dried and ground by traditional stone mills.
